About US

Rocky Mountain Medical Reserve Corps of Colorado

The Rocky Mountain Medical Reserve Corps (RMMRCCOCO) is a dedicated group of volunteers committed to strengthening the health and safety of our Colorado communities. Part of the national Medical Reserve Corps network, the RMMRCCOCO operates as a vital resource in public health and emergency preparedness across the Rocky Mountain region.

Our volunteers include individuals from all walks of life—medical and public health professionals, students, retirees, and community members with a shared passion for service. Whether providing medical expertise or logistical support, RMMRCCOCO volunteers play a pivotal role in addressing public health needs during emergencies, disasters, and planned community events.

RMMRCCOCO supports public health initiatives, such as vaccination clinics, health education, and disaster response. Our team is trained and ready to staff Point of Dispensing (POD) sites, assist in emergency shelters, and respond to a variety of public health crises. Volunteers receive ongoing training to enhance their skills, ensuring they are prepared to serve when called upon.

By joining RMMRCCOCO, volunteers not only make a tangible difference in their communities but also build meaningful connections, develop new skills, and contribute to the resilience of Colorado’s health system. Together, we stand ready to respond and support our neighbors in times of need.

Meet the Branches

Colorado Acupuncture Medical Reserve Corps

The Colorado Acupuncture Medical Reserve Corps (CAMRC) is a unique volunteer organization dedicated to integrating the healing power of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine into emergency preparedness, response, and community health initiatives across Colorado.

As part of the national Medical Reserve Corps network, CAMRC is made up of licensed acupuncturists and other community members who believe in the value of holistic approaches to health and wellness. Our volunteers work to alleviate physical and emotional stress, support recovery, and enhance resilience during public health emergencies, disasters, and community events.

CAMRC specializes in providing acupuncture and related services to assist individuals and communities affected by crises. Whether supporting first responders, disaster survivors, or public health initiatives like vaccination clinics, CAMRC brings relief through evidence-based techniques that promote calm and balance in challenging times.

Volunteers receive specialized training in disaster response and community care, ensuring they are equipped to serve effectively when the need arises. Beyond emergency response, CAMRC also engages in outreach and education, raising awareness of acupuncture’s role in enhancing overall health and well-being.

Joining CAMRC offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while promoting holistic health in our communities. Together, we are building a healthier, more resilient Colorado—one person at a time.
